Each year SHyNE partners with the International Institute for Nanotechnology (IIN) to offer a tour of SHyNE facilities and instrumentation following the IIN’s annual Symposium open to all symposium participants.

This year’s tour took place on November 15th.  The 1.5 hour tour was led by Chad Goeser, Assistant Director of NUANCE. Facilities visited in the tour included the NUANCE facilities, SPID, EPIC TEM & SEM, Keck-II, BioCryo and NUFAB. Also included in the tour were the Integrated Molecular Structure Education and Research Center (IMSERC), the Northwestern University Center for Atom Probe Tomography (NUCAPT) and XRD/PLD Facilities.

Posters and brochures were available for the facilities not on the Evanston Campus, including two Simpson Querrey Institute Cores, the Analytical bioNanoTechnology Equipment Core (ANTEC) and the Peptide Synthesis Core located on Northwestern’s Chicago Campus as well as the Pritzker Nanofabrication Facility (PNF) at the University of Chicago.
